That is one impressive film on almost every level, and puts many superhero films to shame, in particular the Fantastic Four franchise which has a similar "family" set-up. It has heart, creates its own world with efficiency, and features some truly amazing action sequences. It also goes the extra mile by proving you can make a good superhero comedy (I like Mystery Men as much as the next guy, but I don't think it proved anything). And to my surprise, it's not a sanitized superhero story. People die in this thing, so there's real jeopardy.2 years ago

A golden example of what Pixar is capable of. They managed to make a superhero movie while discovering aspects of the genre that we've simply never seen before and did it in a very endearing way.3 months ago
This is one of the greatest family films, I think. Among the superhero regalia is a very subtle call back to the beauty and power of the child's imagination. When called into adulthood, you are asked to forget all the beauties of imagination (such as the mythology of the superhero.) This film is about more than superheroes--it is about imagination, childhood, and very prominently, the difficulty of family. It is a wonderful film.3 years ago

not only is this a great family film. but it's a great film all around, with some high calibre comic-book satire and clever social commentary. this is my favorite super-hero film and my favorite pixar film, and it is absolutely worth your attention.
the incredibles represent pixar at the top of its game. 10/10
