In Cold Blood (1967)

A 1967 film based on Truman Capote's book of the same name. After a botched robbery results in the brutal murder of a rural family, two drifters elude police, in the end coming to terms with their own mortality and the repercussions of their vile atrocity.

A really great adaptation, captures both the essence of the book and the actual occurrences while still being strong solely as a film.

This one holds up better than some of the other iconic 60s crime films. Loved the whole thing, especially the ending. Check out the imdb trivia page to read some pretty creepy facts about the making of this movie.

Also, I've included this one on my list for the best of the New Hollywood era films.
