The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors'...
Excellent film. Should be compulsory viewing for anyone who has to sit on a jury.
I have never really given any film that was made before the 1960's a chance, but I am so glad I watched this classic. Everything was perfect, and it is one of those films that captivates you during the entire viewing. I felt like I was in the room with them, and I never even thought to pause it or look at the clock. To be captivated by a film that was made over 30 years before I was born amazes me. Even if you don't think you will like this type of film, give it a chance. It just might be the best 96 minutes you spend staring at a screen.
Amazing what you can do with a room, 12 actors and a good Script. Michael Bay should be ashamed of himself.
