Undoubtedly a 40's 'Woman's pic' melodrama, but after several decidedly un Noirish Noirs in the 'More noirs list', this one isn't in that list .. and yet it has; A tough cookie predatory dame after a straying husband, the 'good wife', a murder, a bar-room floozy, William Conrad as a cop, and a go-it-alone hero who solves everything. Tell me that isn't a Noir ..
