I was also going to say Flawless but a decent character study and development. The plot isn't what you may expect. It's not a cop movie, simply about a cop. Excellent performances by de Niro and Hoffman. The minor characters and the script were well done by writer/director Joel Schumacher (he is 80 now!). Decent two hour+ film with decent antagonists and great dialogue. Nice gem on Netflix (where I am struggling - Amazon seems to have what I am yet to see!). 8/10
