*smirk* The Final Chapter.
The scariest part of this was Crispin Glover's dancing.

Middle of the line slasher. Crispin Glover is here, and he somehow throws in a great performance in a movie filled with nothing but nudity and stupidity by most. I like the ending, Corey Feldman is utterly creepy.

This movie is so unpretentious about how exploitative it is that I can’t help but enjoy it.Bald Corey Feldman was the scariest part.Edit: I keep coming back to this one. For me it's not only the best Friday the 13th but also one of my favorite horror movies ever for many reasons: The nice montage at the beginning setting the mood; the great effects by Tom Savini; Kimberly Beck playing my favorite final girl of the franchise; Crispin Glover doing his thing; Corey Feldman being kind of a stand-in for young kids fascinated by spooky stuff; some great laughs (Jason deciding if he should go after Tommy of Trish); but I guess mainly because it is about something.
The dichotomy between the family and the horny teenagers brings something new to the franchise. It might annoy some that this is pretty much a morality play because of the whole "if you have sex you are gone" (there's no genre more moralistic than horror, really), but the film does go all in with that premise from the start.
This is way above all the other Friday the 13th movies, with the exception of Part VI, which I think is pretty good too.
