I do like this movie. It's interesting, sometimes really dark, with a tragic lovestory… and also and ode to film-making. I had a good time when the director and the young boy were talking so excitedly about a vampire story they wanted to turn into a film.
The actors were great, love Penélope Cruz… the love story was really wonderful and tragic at the same time… all in all really good!

Great movie, but make sure you watch Women on the Verge first so you can catch all the references.
Can't help but feel that a lot of the emotion in this is heavily influenced by his falling out with Carmen Maura. There were a lot of parallels that seem to mirror their situation.

I don't understand how this hasn't made any lists yet. It's top tier Almodovar.
