As I was strolling through my Netflix account being indecisive about watch to watch, I eventually thought I should give Bedazzled a try. The concept seemed really fun and interesting and it wouldn't hurt to see Brendan Fraser perform right?
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I felt that this was a really enjoyable movie which despite some flaws, ended up being an unforgettable movie experience. Brendan Fraser who plays an optimistic but love hungry and lonely guy comes across the Devil (played by Elizabeth Hurley) who grants him seven wishes in return for his soul.
Fraser's facial expressions which expressed a myriad of emotions was second to none. He was able to capture feelings of happiness, passion, pride, sadness, despair, empathy, excitement and many other traits of emotions in 90 minutes which enormously contributed to the liking of his character. In addition, the film itself showed how versatile Fraser can be in his roles.
There was something magnetic about Liz Hurley. Coupled with her insatiable beauty was her convincingly attractive British accent, as well as her uncanny ability to keep my eyes glued to the screen during her participation in the movie.
I would have preferred if the wishes themselves had a direct impact on Fraser's characters life as opposed to being some sort of dream sequence. Nevertheless, it plays out well towards the end!

One of my favourite comedies. The idea is lovely and it's fun to see the guy make wish after wish, always failing to get what he actually wants… hilarious! Watched it more than once and still like it a lot.
