I adore the lighting in this film, a ghostly blue that seems to penetrate nearly all the scenes. It's mostly effective in the last climatic scene between our protagonists and antagonist, but it's presence adds a touch of inhumanity that's just perfect for the subject matter. My only complaint would be the "blink and you'll miss it" exposition as I'm not a huge fan of the Terminator mythos, but intense action scenes and Hamilton's amazing performance more than make for it.
Relentlessly dark and exciting. Edited to pinprick precision, superb production values, great acting all round, and with powerful, poignantly somber 80's synth for a score that echoes themes of dehumanization. Plus, much like Cameron's other masterpiece, Aliens, this has endless replay value. Revolutionary, one of the best action films of all time, and unforgettable entertainment.

A surprisingly excellent action film. While it's all subjective, in my opinion it does surpass the first Terminator film.
