Sort of an interesting transitional film for Wes Craven, as it comes at the tail-end of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series, but its meta, self-aware nature pre-dated his later "Scream" films.
Neat concept but poor execution. It´s greatest flaw being that the film already goes up to eleven in the beginning with the Freddy stuff. Leaving little room for interpretation, second guesses, or building up suspense. However there are a couple of scenes that are kinda cool with the highlight being the scene

Interesting gimmick idea for a film, but my God does it get annoying.
