… basterds! The only comment that sprung to my mind after seeing this …
The term "the church" is used correctly all along…. a jar full of disgust opens right in front of you, and it is labeled "the church"… Also a nice credit to Ratzinger in the end… considering this is a 2006 movie, RATzinger probably got to be a pope as a present for all of this dirtyness.. congratulatons "the church"… for being the star in this movie.
Really fascinating documentary.. he is a very engaging man, and you can see how he good he is at grooming people - it is quite scary.
Interesting documentary. Pretty good, better than most.
It refrains from religion-bashing. Some of the theologists being interviewed, namely father Tom Doyle, do make some bogus statements and the misuse of the term 'the church' is a bit annoying, but this is not really the director's fault.
O'Grady himself, the main subject of this film, looks like a character with clear mental issues, a person in need of help. He does not seem to be very intelligent.
