Truly excellent documentary about a metal band which after receiving 15 minutes of fame in the 80's faded into obscurity and didn't make it back up. I'm happy that Anvil have finally gotten some recognition and the guys have been busy for real since the release of the movie. They've had well known artists like Slash and Scott Ian make guest appearances live, they've played many major festivals like Download (UK) and Loud Park (Japan) and even appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien :)
Oh yeah, they are still kicking ass and have since the movie managed to release one album in 2011 and have finished recording the next one, hopefully out around may 2013 :)
I really enjoyed this film. I found it to be very inspiring.
This is not a comedy, but a tragic story of a dream that just won't happen.
Personally thought it was great.
