The Times of Harvey Milk (1984)

Harvey Milk was an outspoken human rights activist and one of the first openly gay U.S. politicians elected to public office; even after his assassination in 1978, he continues to inspire disenfranchised people around the world.

Before viewing this I knew that Mr. Milk was gay, elected, and assassinated. This was a wonderful and informative documentary that went into how he rose to office and how his life was ended far to quickly. Mr. Milk probably would have risen far if he was as shrewd as his friends claimed he was. One thing he did was a leave a separate will in case of assassination; what a horrible thing to know that you need to create such a will. The ending is quite upsetting and every just person should be absolutely sick to their stomach for how Dan White got away with murder.
