Godard is both pulling a joke (on everyone), but also delivering a cryptic essay on art & power. If he doesn't take it seriously, I'm not sure it's worth an audience members time to do so either

So… Apparently, this film is only available on DVD in the wrong aspect ratio, which makes it harder to watch and ruins the image composition.
