A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.
On the one hand I feel like this isn’t as subversive as the movies Tim Burton used to make. On the other, well, it’s the year Disney bought Fox and he’s made a Disney film about an evil theme park tycoon buying up smaller firms just to integrate their key IP and lay off all the other staff.
Loved Alan Arkin’s urge to cash his check and go home.
Looks like everybody forgot that the original is a weird/odd/crazy movie from beginning to end. They took this way too seriously, so when the silly moments happened they felt out of place.

Not a fan of Disney’s revisionism.

Okay but not great. No emotion to it like the original and it didn't feel the same without the crows :(
