Apart from the twist it's not as great as a lot of people think it is. It sure leaves you with that WOW feeling the movie gives you in the end. But the whole rest of the movie should be great as well if I want to call it great (so it's "just" good")
This is a movie defined by the last 20 minutes, the very definition of "plot twist". At times it feels the beginning and middle of the movie was just "filler" to set up for the conclusion, but this is an ending done well. The one thing I regret the most in life right now is that I knew the ending to The Usual Suspects before I saw it for the first time. I kinda feel ripped off now. This would've been a fucking awesome movie if I never knew the twist. So, in a nutshell, fuck you movie spoilers.
Still one of the best endings I've ever seen in a movie, though.
