No matter which side you're on, it's a disturbing tale, bloody and depressing, elevated to artistic worthiness by an uncanny fusion of the real and the surreal.John DeSando
Beautiful. Neat photo. Different. Nice pictures of the streets of enchanting Budapest (where I was in 2000).
The last 35 minutes totally lost it for me, unfortunately. Up until that point, it was an amazing film but it all seemed to fall apart at the end, I thought.
The intro is a thing of beauty, one of the best openings to a film I've seen in a long time and the score is absolutely incredible. Fantastic performances from the two dogs that play Hagen too. Animal acting full stop never fails to astound me but especially when it's as good as it is in this film.
