That's an awful cover. It looks like he's trying to teach a blind woman to see.
I thought it was fantastic. It dips in and out of some intense sentimentality in the second half, but that's not always a bad thing. Really loved it.
A favourite of mine since I read the Willie Russell play in high school. I relate a lot to Rita and admire Julie Walter's portrayal as one of the most accurate working class characters in a British film ever.
